The EGU General Assembly 2018 will bring together geoscientists from all over the world to one meeting covering all disciplines of the Earth, planetary and space sciences. The EGU aims to provide a forum where scientists, especially early career researchers, can present their work and discuss their ideas with experts in all fields of geoscience. The EGU is looking forward to cordially welcoming you in Vienna.
Currently, the two websites egu2018.com and egumeeting.org provide web portals for lodging services using distinctive features of EGU including the logo and pictures from the ACV during past EGU General Assemblies. These websites have not been authorized by EGU, Copernicus, or any other partner of us and do not provide official services for EGU, its General Assembly, or Copernicus. We recommend not to use these websites as long as they pretend to provide official EGU services. We also recommend not to provide them with any personal data including your credit-card or bank-account details. The only official housing agency for EGU2018 is Mondial Congress & Events.
Do you have an idea for a project to raise awareness of geosciences outside the scientific community? We can help fund it. Apply for our grants by 15 February for a chance to win 1000 EUR and a free registration to the EGU 2019 General Assembly.
The annual EGU photo competition is now open. Up until 15 February (note earlier deadline this year!), every participant pre-registered for the General Assembly can submit up three original photos and one moving image on any broad theme related to the Earth, planetary, and space sciences. Simply upload your photos to imaggeo and choose the option to include them in the photo contest. [Read more]
